Our production

Artigianato Industriale

Industrial craftsmanship

Our production process follows the principles of an advanced industrial approach to craftmanship. Every manufacturing step is supervised by one of our highly specialised workers, who not only has specialist knowledge of the machinery used for that step, but also understands the entire production cycle.

The most popular manufacturing options call for high levels of standardisation - but also precision. At Bielle, these are carried out using an artisanal approach that pays the highest attention to detail, which is why quality control is done not just on the finished product but also at the end of each step in the manufacturing process.

Le materie prime

Our raw materials

Wood is probably the raw material par excellence: a natural resource that can be used in many ways to create many objects necessary to our everyday life. Wood can be functional but also give our home a sense of elegance and comfort. It can also make our living space warm and cosy, creating a sense of wellbeing.

When beautifully crafted and sturdily made, wood furniture can last a long time, use after use. By choosing wooden drawers and chest of drawers, you are choosing a natural material that is grown in a sustainable and traceable way and has impressive durability.

We use our expertise to select the best raw materials to create high-quality end products and to assess their suitability to specific manufacturing processes. From the beginning, we have made it a priority to choose our suppliers carefully and create long-term partnerships based on trust and collaboration. We can source any type of wood, including FSC certified.

In addition, we regularly check the quality of all materials and machinery involved in the production process. This includes, for instance, the quality of the varnishes we use; the correct functioning of our air extraction system; and emissions levels, which are professionally checked on a regular basis to ensure that they are within the acceptable range.

Una tradizione artigianale capace di rinnovarsi

An artisanal tradition that keeps innovating

When they join Bielle, our workers undergo training to acquire the technical knowledge necessary to understand the specificities of our work. This requires high levels of craftsmanship and attention to detail (for example, when aligning wood grain patterns, choosing the most suitable wood panels for a specific manufacturing process or assessing the frequency and structure of wood knots). After their training, our employees usually spend most of their career with us, typically 25 to 30 years. This maintains the internal transfer of specialist expertise and know-how that is hard to find elsewhere.
